An Origineil
Minnesota singer and songwriter Neil Bacon has been waiting a long-time to share his original music with the world. Having debuted his vocals on stage at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN, back in 2003, the Minnesota Air National Guard soon took the reins. Neil joined the Air National Guard in 2001 and was deployed on seven separate occasions to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan in service of his country. Though this life path directed him away from music, it undoubtedly played a role in his writing – relationships abroad, struggles with substance abuse and reintegration, all comes to light in his songs.
Neil Bacon is an artist whose music blends raw emotion, thoughtful storytelling, and anthemic melodies. Drawing inspiration from bands like Third Eye Blind, Oasis, Everclear, and Coldplay, Neil crafts songs that balance introspection with soaring hooks, offering a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
A seasoned songwriter with a penchant for sophisticated yet relatable lyrics, Neil’s music explores the highs and lows of life with humility and depth. His songs capture moments of struggle, hope, and self-discovery, resonating with those who seek authenticity in their music.
Now intent on sharing his original music with the world, Neil brings together a certain seriousness in his writing with an authentically carefree and fun personality.
